Desert Sessions

Posted on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 in Boarding News, Surfing

Somewhere between here and Bali lies a wave so perfect that it’s changed my whole perception of riding the barrel. I just recently got home from this place and suffice to say, I was blown away (and blown out of) the waves in the desert. A mission to get to and fickle as hell, it’s all worth it, especially once you figure out not to jump off when you think it’s unmakeable and hang on for the tube of your life. Seven second barrels? Easy. Try 20 seconds. Thanks to Budi and the boys for the hospitality!
